Just a small-town, Eastern Oregon ranch kid turned ranch wife, pursuing her passion as a custom saddlemaker and leather craftswoman.
I used and appreciated a leather something-or-other most days growing up working on my family's ranch, but I didn't try my hand at leather work until college. One Christmas break, I picked up my dad's old, broken swivel knife and started carving away at some old scrap leather he had. All the while, I was scouring the internet for "how to make leather pretty" tutorials. It took awhile before I actually made anything pretty, but I was hooked.
By June of 2021, I had floundered around in the wide world of leathercraft for a couple years. I had figured out how to make a variety of useful leather goods, and had one saddle under my belt. By then, I was head-over-heels in love with a buckaroo and we got married. Immediately after our honeymoon, I moved with my big-outfit, wide-open-desert, bronco-stompin' cowboy to Nevada.
After some time in Nevada, we are now based in Southeastern Oregon where I work in the saddle shop and Quenton continues to ride for a living. In June of 2024, Quenton and I became parents to Grady, who brings so much joy to our home. We love Jesus, our family, sourdough everything, and the wide open space that cowboy life brings.
